I. Purpose<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Help cashiers enter appropriate selling prices for items that allow flexible price adjustments<\/strong> when taking orders on Quick Service (QS) POS<\/strong>, such as charges that vary by time or service duration.<\/p>\n

The adjusted price applies only to the item in the current order and does not change its price in the menu catalog<\/strong>. The system uses the confirmed price to calculate the item amount and the bill total.<\/p>\n

II. Users and Scope<\/strong><\/h2>\n
    \n
  • Users:<\/strong> Cashiers or staff with permission to adjust prices, as configured by the restaurant manager.<\/li>\n
  • Prerequisite:<\/strong> The item must have flexible price adjustments enabled<\/strong> on the dashboard.\"\"<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    III. Instruction Steps<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    1. Select an item to adjust its price<\/strong><\/h3>\n
      \n
    1. On the QS POS<\/strong> order entry screen, select an item that allows manual price adjustments.<\/li>\n
    2. The system opens the price entry screen and displays the item\u2019s current price<\/strong> by default.\"\"<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      2. Enter and confirm the selling price<\/strong><\/h3>\n
        \n
      1. Keep the default price or tap on the price and enter a new selling price.\"\"<\/li>\n
      2. Tap Done<\/strong> to confirm.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        The price entry screen closes, and the item is added to the order at the confirmed price<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

        Notes:<\/strong><\/p>\n

          \n
        • You can enter 0<\/strong> or a price with decimal places<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
        • If you enter a negative price, the system automatically resets it to 0<\/strong> without displaying an error message.<\/li>\n
        • If you tap Cancel<\/strong> or close the price entry screen, the item is still added to the order at its current price<\/strong>. The newly entered price is not applied.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          3. Review the price and item amount<\/strong><\/h3>\n

          After adding the item, check its unit price<\/strong>, quantity<\/strong>, and item amount<\/strong> in the order.<\/p>\n

          The system calculates the item amount as follows:<\/p>\n

          Item amount\u00a0<\/span><\/span>= <\/span><\/span>Confirmed unit price\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00d7 <\/span><\/span>Quantity<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

          Taxes, promotions, and the bill total are calculated according to the existing POS rules.<\/p>\n

          Note:<\/strong> Adjusted prices are saved separately for each order and do not update the item\u2019s menu catalog price.<\/p>\n

          4. Adjust prices for multiple identical items<\/strong><\/h3>\n

          4.1. When identical items are not split into separate rows<\/strong><\/h4>\n
            \n
          • If you adjust the price of an item row with a quantity of 2 or more<\/strong>, the new price applies to all quantities in that row<\/strong>.\"\"<\/li>\n
          • If you add the same item again after adjusting its price, the system creates a new row at the menu catalog price<\/strong> instead of merging it into the adjusted row.\"\"<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            4.2. When identical items are split into separate rows<\/strong><\/h4>\n

            The adjusted price applies only to the edited item row<\/strong> and does not affect the other rows.<\/p>\n

            5. Check prices after updating order information<\/strong><\/h3>\n

            5.1. Change the service type or pricing policy<\/strong><\/h4>\n
              \n
            • Items not yet sent to the Kitchen\/Bar:<\/strong> Prices are reset to the menu catalog prices<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
            • Items already sent to the Kitchen\/Bar:<\/strong> The adjusted prices<\/strong> are retained.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              5.2. Select a sales channel<\/strong><\/h4>\n

              The system resets item prices according to the selected sales channel\u2019s prices<\/strong>. Cashiers can still enter new prices for items that allow manual price adjustments and have not yet been sent to the Kitchen\/Bar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
