No programming<br \/>\nknowledge required \u2014 just follow the steps illustrated with screenshots below.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>II. Instruction steps<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3>1. What is this tool for?<\/h3>\n<p>ClosebookTool is an internal tool used to handle 2 situations related to the closebook (period-end closing) on a customer&#8217;s CUKCUK system:<\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 100%; border-collapse: collapse;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 30.031%;\"><strong>Function<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 69.969%;\"><strong>When to use<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 30.031%;\">Unlock Closebook<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 69.969%;\">Customer reports the closing period is &#8220;stuck&#8221; \/ locked incorrectly and cannot proceed<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 30.031%;\">Maintenance Closebook<\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 69.969%;\">Need to recalculate \/ update closebook data for a specific POS register, within a specific date range<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><strong>IMPORTANT:<\/strong><br \/>\nThis tool operates directly on the customer&#8217;s original data. Only use it when truly necessary and after confirming the correct procedure. If unsure, ask your supervisor before clicking <strong>Process<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>2. Preparation before use<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The computer used to perform this task must be able to connect to the customer&#8217;s data server (SQL Server) \u2014 either on the same internal network, or via VPN if supporting\u00a0 remotely.<\/li>\n<li>Have a tool login account \u2014 request one from the technical\/admin department (this is a separate account for the tool itself, not the CUKCUK software login account).<\/li>\n<li>Clearly identify: which customer needs processing, which time period, and which POS<br \/>\nregister (if performing data maintenance).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>3. Connect to customer data<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Open the <strong>ClosebookTool<\/strong> application.<\/li>\n<li>In the <strong>DB<\/strong> name field, the tool automatically scans and lists the data servers found on the network. Log in to the tool<\/h3>\n<p>After clicking <strong>Connect<\/strong>, the login screen appears:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Enter the <strong>User<\/strong> and <strong>Password<\/strong> you were given.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Login<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>If the information is incorrect \u2192 the tool shows &#8220;Invalid username or password.&#8221; \u2014 check and re-enter (note: case sensitive).<\/li>\n<li>If you click <strong>Cancel<\/strong> \u2192 you return to the database selection screen from Step 1.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>CAUTION: <\/strong>Do not share the tool&#8217;s login account with unauthorized persons. Skipping this step means the customer will still see the same error.<\/p>\n<h3>7.
