5. The cashier wants to adjust Scaled print size in order to print full bill with all kinds of printer


I. Cloud
1. When printing stock receipt note, the accountant wants to show note number in order to quickly search and check
Details of change: 

In some restaurants, when the payment is due, the account will check the stock receipt note on the program and the supplier’s note before submitting it to the chief account for payment. However, the stock receipt note does not have number, which causes difficulty in checking. In R53, add document number to Stock receipt note, Stock return note, Debt pay-in note, Exported Purchase note.


2. When searching item on menu, the Manager wants to quickly filter by item type/menu category (currently he/she has to enter exact name)
Details of change:

In R53, improve Item type filter so that the manager can quickly select item type by All, Food, Food by ingredient, Food by category, Drink, Drink by category, Bottled drink, Processed drink, Combo, Other
3. According to regulations of German Department of Finance, tip must be recognized separately from the sales, so the owner must change the way to recognize sales
Details of change:
According to German Department of Finance, pay-ins from services are added to sales while other pay-ins like tip must be separated from sales. In R53, to satisfy this requirement on Sales report and List of bills tips are separated from the restaurant’s revenue.
II. PC – Sale
1. In quick-service restaurants, the Manager/Cashier wants to show Modifiers with no price on bill so that the guest can follow up and check without asking the staff again

Details of change:
In R53, add Display Modifiers with no price on bill feature in Bill template settings, to display all information so that the guest can easily follow up and check.
Instruction steps:

  • On Bill template settings screen, select Content tab.
  • Check Display Modifiers with no price on bill.
  • Click OK.
  • Click Save.
  • When printing bill for the guest, the printed bill will show modifiers with no price.
2. Besides dine-in service, the retaurant also offers take-away and delivery service. Therefore, the cashier wants to reduce number of steps to recognize take-away and delivery orders (currently 4 steps)
Details of change:
In R53, improve Add take-away and delivery order feature in order to save time for the cashier.
Instruction steps:
For take-away order

  • Click the icon , select Add take-away order.

  • Recognize ordered items.
  • Click Send to kitchen/bar.

For delivery order

  • Click the icon , select Add delivery order.
  • Enter delivery information, click OK.
  • Recognize ordered items.
  • Click Send to kitchen/bar to send process request to kitchen/bar or click Save to save order.

If you want to recognize shipping information before taking order, the manager can set as follows:

  • Click the icon , select Settings.
  • Click Edit, check Enter Shipping information upon adding Delivery order.
  • Click Save.

3. The waitstaff/Cashier wants to know the remaining time until the delivery time so that they can request kitchen/bar to process timely and arrange shipper
Details of change: 

In some quick-service restaurants, they have a lot of delivery orders. The staff usually checks the booked delivery time to process and ship (about 30 minutes in advance). To facilitate the cashier in sending order to kitchen/bar, in R53 add remaining time until delivery time.
4. According to regulations of German Department of Finance, tip must be recognized separately from the sales, so the owner must change the way to recognize sales
Details of change: 

According to German Department of Finance, pay-ins from services are added to sales while other pay-ins like tip must be separated from sales. In R53, to satisfy this requirement tips are separated from the restaurant’s revenue.

  • On Closing shift screen and Shift Handover Minutes, tip is separated from the restaurant’s revenue.

5. The kitchen/bar staff usually views item name first in order to know the quantity to process and the unit is not necessary.

Details of change:
In R53, the program adds Process Ticket which moves quantity to the left of item name according to the kitchen/bar staff’s habit.
Print items on 1 ticket template/Print each time (Template 2)
Print each item (Template 3)

6. Waitstaff in Germany want to reorder buttons on list orders which match with their habit and frequency of use in order to save time
Details of change:
For the waitstaff’s habbit and frequency of using buttons, the program changes the order of these buttons.

Note: For the cashier accounts which have been created before, the program remains the same order, so you can rearrange it according to the instruction here.

III. Mobile
1. The waitstaff/Cashier wants to know the remaining time until the delivery time so that they can request kitchen/bar to process timely and arrange shipper
Details of change: 

In some quick-service restaurants, they have a lot of delivery orders. The staff usually checks the booked delivery time to process and ship (about 30 minutes in advance). To facilitate the cashier in sending order to kitchen/bar, in R53 add remaining time until delivery time.

2. Department of Finance wants the bill numbers to be continuous corresponding to time of getting payment

Details of change: 

Currently, the program generates bill numbers according to Check numbers so when the Check of the second bill is checked out before that of the first bill, the bill number is not continuous according to the time of payment. In R53, bill numbers will be generated continously and independently from Check numbers.

3. Waitstaff in Germany want to reorder buttons on list orders which match with their habit and frequency of use in order to save time
Details of change:
For the waitstaff’s habbit and frequency of using buttons, the program changes the order of these buttons.

Details of change: 

Currently, for 58mm paper size some words are cut so that the bill information is not displayed fully. In R53, the program allows the cashier to adjust scaled print size in order to print full bill with all kinds of printer.
Instruction steps:

  • On LAN printer settings screen, the program adds Scaled print size feature so that the cashier can zoom in or out from 50% to 150%.
  • The cashier adjusts the proper scaled print size according to the paper size.
Note: On Android tablets, the program only supports template 2.
